MyHavtorn Organic Face Serum is one of those products we never knew we needed — and now that we’ve tried it, we can’t imagine it ever not existing. 

MyHavtorn’s original is one of our mainstays, and we’d be hard pressed to identify a better oil to treat rosacea and eczema. But as founder Robin Johansson told us, “We also wanted a product to complement the Face Oil, something with a broader range of oils and more complex properties to revitalize, rejuvenate, and boost elasticity in the skin.” So their team started blending their signature sea buckthorn with some other oils we love — retinoic acid-rich rosehip, GLA-rich borage, omega-rich apricot kernel, and the unusually lightweight, free-radical-scavenging pomegranate and blueberry — and the Face Serum was born. 

Robin and his partner in all things, Ingrid, originally designed it for dry, mature skin types, but we think it’s a winner for everyone. This fabulously fast-absorbing, naturally nutrient-rich oil serum can be layered under the Face Oil or Face Cream for extra nourishment and elasticity, as it was originally designed (perfect for winter), or it can be used on its own for those who prefer a lighter oil (perfect for combination skin types, as it feels deeply replenishing but doesn’t leave skin at all greasy). Due to its light texture, it can even be used around the eyes, too. 

We adore that versatility, but what we really love about the Face Serum is the way it somehow gently nudges skin awake while also soothing and nurturing. It’s one of those products that prompts you to say, after the first use, “Oh, this is good.” And after a week, “Ooh, my skin looks great! How? Why?” And after two weeks, “They can never stop making this.” It just makes skin look and feel healthy, as though you’ve taken a quick vacation to the magical in Bollebygd — but without the dehydrating plane travel.

Recently updated with rejuvenating Bakuchiol and soothing Calendula, we love this serum more than ever. It's particularly good when paired with the take it up a level by adding Gua Sha to the mix, and you'll see skin that feels super smooth and perfectly calm — and over time, decidedly more plump, elastic, and vital.
