All-in-one day lotion or final daytime layer with secret powers   / 1.7 fl oz

de Mamiel Exhale Daily Hydrating Nectar was the first thing we fell in love with from this line of almost impossibly excellent products from England. It's one of those wonder products we always hoped might exist, acting like a Paris filter on your face — with a beautifully buttery, lightweight texture and a long list of ingredients, including secretly sun protective ones, chosen to encase skin in a virtual bubble of sorts. Like the , it's a product that prompted our whole team to go wide-eyed in wonder and admiration.

“Secretly sun protective? What do you mean?” It’s complicated. But here’s what we can say: while it's considered a moisturizer in the US, in Europe, the same formula is sold as a sunscreen.

And we love it so much that it was clear we had to have it despite the slight awkwardness of that situation. For those of you who like a one-product solution (who doesn’t?), it does it all.
- It serves as a lightweight daily moisturizer: one that should be layered over an oil or serum on dry skin, but stands on its own for combination and oily skin types.
- It has a whisper of a tint, just enough to make it melt into any skin tone and blur imperfections. Avocado extract is just one of the secrets to the buttery-soft texture.
- It’s packed with antioxidant-rich botanicals, too many to even list (check the ingredients; it’s impressive).
- Ayla favorites like hyaluronic acid and nettle: those are in there, too. There’s even some balloon vine extract to help quell redness and a suite of flower essences to lift the spirit.
- And the secretly sun-protective ingredients (zinc, mainly, along with just enough titanium dioxide to keep it creamy) are there indeed, in large amounts — without leaving behind a ghostly cast.

Use it in place of your daily moisturizer, or as a final layer in your daily routine (let your face oil absorb and sink in first). Either way, it’s a winner.
